Microbiology Waste Disposal
New legislation has made it increasingly difficult to dispose of microbiology waste even after autoclaving because of the potential mixture of hazards. Free liquid can no longer be sent to landfill, and therefore broths and slopes have to be treated differently. Many foods, particularly those of animal origin, are also prohibited. Because of the incinerators we use, we are able to dispose of wastes that are not autoclaved, and therefore our service is ideal for the modern microbiologist's diverse mixture.
Tradebe Labwaste provide weekly collections of bagged or theatre-binned materials.
Disposal Bags and Bins can be viewed in the Waste Containers section.
